Acupuncture for Complex and Chronic Pain

Acupuncture is versatile in what it can treat. Ideally, treating the disease before it progresses into a complex and chronic state is always great. However, often, people find acupuncture after trying everything else, and nothing works. We tend to see a lot of incredible results in these cases.

We treat a lot of complex illnesses. This includes:

Fibromyalgia. Chronic Headaches and Migraines. Crohn’s Disease. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Arthritis. Parkinson’s. Strokes. Sleep. Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Insomnia. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Long COVID. Thyroid Disorders. Sinusitis. Allergies. Asthma. Endometriosis.

And so much more.

Acupuncture for Chronic Pain

Acupuncture is unique in how it views and understands the body. There are multiple approaches to treatment, including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Five Elements, Six Divisions, Stems and Branches, and many others. By adopting a different perspective on the body and health, we often achieve remarkable results. Issues that cannot be explained by Western medicine, or those that feel disconnected, frequently make sense from a Chinese medical perspective. By identifying when and what caused things to go wrong, we can truly target the root of the problem while also addressing the symptoms.

This perspective is what drew me to acupuncture. I struggled with complex and chronic IBS, leaving doctors at a loss as they focused solely on treating my stomach. My acupuncturist, however, recognised a Wood and Earth imbalance, identifying the patterns unique to my health and addressing them through the distinctive lens of Chinese medicine.

Additionally, acupuncture is effective in treating both the mind and the body. When we experience chronic or complex pain, addressing the spirit and emotions can be just as important. The treatment room offers a safe space to heal both aspects, helping to break the negative feedback loops that chronic pain often creates.
